Min Kok Dim Sums - Review

Hello everyone! We are back with another post. This time, we have a customer (Anndrea A. Webber) who is going to be reviewing the delicacies we serve in Seremban.

EGG CUSTARDS

The egg custards served at Min Kok were extremely delightful. The softness of the custard and the crunchiness of the pastry combined tasted heavenly. I especially enjoyed the fillings a lot. It tasted sweet, as if there were honey inside. If you are someone with a knack for sweet food, these egg custards are a must to try!

CHAR SIEW PAO

Char Siew Pao is one of my all-time favorites at dim sum diners. So when I went to Min Kok restaurant, I just had to order myself some of these 'treats'. This dish is made out of steamy barbecued pork wrapped in a pillowy bun. Of course, this dish did not disappoint. The outside is warm enough for us to hold, but the inside is hot. At first bite, this food made my eyes go wider than saucers. The fillings were hot, savory and incredibly juicy. The way the outside just melts in the mouth to create a soft and chewy texture is so pleasing.

SHRIMP DUMPLING

Shrimp dumplings are one of the dishes most dim sum first-timers will try. These dumplings are made of prawns, freshly chopped chive, ginger and a tinge of tapioca. The fillings are then wrapped in a translucent dumpling skin. This makes the pink of the prawn visible to the eye, making it all the more appetizing. This dish is incredibly pleasant. Its texture is soft, and its insides are juicy. The taste of the prawn and chive is very potent, and it is very chewy because of the texture of the outside. Overall, these dumplings are simply addicting and appetizing.

CHEONG FUN

Cheong Fun is a famous dish in various dim sum outlets. Its fillings are often made of either shrimp or deep-fried Chinese crullers wrapped with steamed rice starch. For the finishing touch, the entire dish is then garnished with sweet soy sauce. Out of all the dim sums I've tried in Min Kok, this is my most favorite one. The way this dish was presented really made my mouth water. The steam coming from the dish and the shininess of the Cheong Fun made it look so fresh. There are so many flavors in this dish, making it all the more addicting. It is a dish that has a tinge of savory, chewiness and sweetness in it. In my opinion, this is the best dim sum dish Min Kok serves.

"From a scale of 1 - 10, Min Kok is definitely worth a 7 or 8. It is one of the best dim sum outlets where one can enjoy fresh and warm dim sum. I really love eating at this place, and I wouldn't mind coming again in the near future with my family members." - Anndrea
